Would you like to join the Open Jazz Jam Summer Camp 2024?
Five days in the most exciting jazz community from 28. July to 1. August.
A lot of spots are already taken - registrations will be open until we are full.
Imagine being part of Berlin's vibrant jazz scene, attending a jam session in Paris, or being spun into Mediterranean jazz tones in a café in Valencia.
That's almost what you can experience if you sign up for Open Jazz Jam Summer Camp 2024. We've assembled a team of internationally active musicians who are putting together a program of ensemble playing, workshops, and masterclasses - and of course jam sessions across the camp.
You will be part of a jazz community where we have just the right class both for those who want to develop their playing from note reading to improvisation and for those who want to push their jazz skills to new heights.

“Shaping Motions” her first album as a leader, is released in 2018 followed by “Live at Loft” in 2021 and “Slaying the Dream” in March 2023.
Dima Golovanov
Piano - Lithuania
One of the most creative and active jazz pianists in Lithuania, playing a wide range of jazz, from beautiful compositions to experimental free improvisation.
Dima has previously taught at our camp and brings an amazing energy, empathy, and knowledge that has been greatly appreciated by participants!
Carolyn Goodwin - Saxophone, Clarinet & Voice - Ireland / Denmark
Irish woodwind player Carolyn Goodwin has been based in Copenhagen since 2016, where she is an active participant in the experimental and improvised music scene.
She is the founder of the ensemble Copenhagen Clarinet Choir, with whom she released the album Organism in September 2022 on the År & Dag label. The album was included in a “Best of 2022" list by the New York City Jazz Record
Goodwin’s other projects include the saxophone chamber music trio Coriolis, the improvising song trio Thou Sonic Friend, the ambient quintet Blue Lake, and the avant-folk quartet Clang Sayne.
Magnús Trygvason Eliassen Drums - Iceland
Magnús Trygvason Eliassen is an Icelandic/Norwegian drummer. He is one of the most prolific drummers in Iceland and has collaborated with a large number of artists both in Iceland and abroad.
In recent years, Magnús has been very active on the Icelandic music scene, working with a large number of bands, ensembles and musicians such as Eyþór Gunnarsson, Ellen Kristjánsdóttir, Kristjana Stefánsdóttir, Tómas R. Einarsson, Sigríður Thorlacius, Steingrímur Karl Teague, ADHD, Amiina, Sin Fang, K-Trio, Moses Hightower, múm and many others.
Magnús has also participated in the Young Nordic Jazz Comets competition on four different occasions, winning first prize twice with the bands K-Trio and Reginfirra.
Teis Semey - Guitar - Netherlands / Denmark
“Bad boy of Dutch Jazz”, Danish Guitarist Teis Semey has made a name for himself across Europe in the last few years. Mainly known for the Teis Semey Quintet, Semey has come to showcase a modern way of tackling the electric guitar: high amplitude, high precision, high energy and high sensitivity.
Semey has many sides: if with the punk avant-garde of the Teis Semey Quintet, the choral Midnight Mess or electro/acoustic Raw Fish, Semey’s storm-in-with-guns-blazing attitude to music is “charmingly nonchalant”, and ensures an immersive and wild listening experience.
The “rising star” (NRC) has six albums behind him, and there is no signs of slowing down. Having released ‘Crudo’ in April 2024, he is already releasing the next album of the Teis Semey Quintet in September ‘24.
Semey is an artist possessing both outlandish technical skills and deep musical sensitivity. His “... playing grabs you by the shoulders, and screams a story into your face. But a story with depth and nuance" - Jazzism.
