Please be aware that JAZZ9TUS is not a venue that presents or promotes bands without relation to Aalborg. This means that we also don’t take booking requests. Try the other venues in town.

As you can read under the What is JAZZ9TUS? tab, all of our activities include musicians living in Aalborg and Region Nordjylland focusing on the talent pool. This is a core value of our organization and is part of our overall goal of nourishing and growing the local scene.

I’ve seen (X) or (Y) be part of your shows or workshops - how did they get to Aalborg?

Once a month we try to invite a bandleader/composer from the European contemporary jazz scene and set up a local band to perform their music with them. These are typically people we know, we have worked with in other contexts or who have been recommended by our network.

So the best way is simply to interact with the scene, find someone you‘d like to work with and then they might contact us to help make it happen! We LOVE great collaborations, and we know that outside inspiration is also great nourishment :-)

So, you are always welcome to contact us with ideas or questions but be aware that we will most likely not be able to provide a venue for your band or project.
